I was watching Azurine and supplying milk and cookies for the succesful kill :D was hoping to learn something special. Sadly only two things I learned was the minor "exploit" with using levitate on beats and big exploit with the hellfire stacking buff on the valkyres. It made me quite sad. :( Why dont we use it also in 25 man btw ?

About the lock's trick, it's not a big gain on 25 man, and you don't have time to wait for it to charge. (they hot-fixed it 2-3 weeks ago, so it shouldn't be inteded to be an exploit if it still works)
Guess krystalia had to time to charge it 'cause we were waiting for the heroism debuff to run out.
Still, the dps increase is very low considering 1 dps over 5 to have 1 more empowered in the whole fight.

Real Exploits is like how eof did the server first on "A tribute to insanity" using warlocks non in raid to soulstone every member of the raid. That makes big difference ^^

I must say all these "imbaendgaming" trinks makes me always disgusted. But thats just personal feeling. Azurine call it "using properly special game mechanics" but even him was blushing when i asked about the warlock thingy. But its always the same. When i point out its an exploit someone say "yea maybe but the gain from it is so little it does not matter" then i ask "when is the gain really so small why do you even do that ? you know its still not working as intended and you wouldnt do it near GM" anyway I dont want to poke stupidly into this topic. I was watching all the time and you guys really did a great job. And i am now sorry i did not record Azurine clicking irl cause its really awesome scene :D

I can agree with you that the line between tricks, exploits and cheats is so thin that they can be all considered, regardless of gain, a "dirty" way of playing. The truth is that if there were a cheap way to make (real) money without actually hurting someone or something, I would use it and so would many. Gaming is not that different, depends on how far you want/can go - being these tricks not bannable, I'm personally not afraid to use them.

And well, on a sidenote, I couldn't use the empowered buff due to a forced color switch -.-

Levitate is not bannable, there are several reply from the GM that is allowed since you use normal game mechanisms.

The warlock thing has alrdy been hotfixed, 2 weeks ago, because before it charged the lock a lot more each tick, and could be used during the fight too. That was a real exploit. Now each tick charges 1 stack. So if the blizzard lowered it, and didn't remove it i guess it's not again considered as exploit.

Still we did 4 times tribute to insanity, 7 times we reached anub with 0 wipes. Doing it with Brewfest Trinkets and ulduar gear imho is a big achievement, and i think you can understand that using both those tricks didn't make any difference.

I had to replace 6 items, got some ulduar crap and the trinket from brewfest, lost around 4k hp. Geppetto had 5-6 items too, and he lost much stats but still, we done it ;)
Flamewings and Krystalia never did any 25 man so they where both ready, and nynawe very few runs.
Enfisema got only the 25 man sword to replace.

Timmar had only the Val'anyr to be changed, and got the weapon while doing the normal mode ahah ^^. That was one of the biggest loss
