Announcement for my arena team mates

Hello,

As our team rating starts to rise, the games become harder and thus the difficulty to rise / keep the rating. In order to maintain a steady team increase in rating from week to week, but in the same time people get arena points in order to gear up I come with the next solution.

People who didn’t made 30%, and in the last day(s) of week we will not have a good composition, they will be invited in the 3 man arena team where they can get some arena points. Keep in mind that you get 80% of arena points in the 3 man team, so the loss of arena points is small.

At this moment my 3 man arena team has around 1800 rating (same as 5 man arena team). So if tonight we will not have a good composition, we will run some 3 man games with those who don’t have 30% games played in 5 man team.

In future weeks we will change our strategy. We will play in first days of week with our strange composition and with the strong composition towards end of week, in order to recover lost points (if any).

We will discuss more about this tonight on our team channel, but I just want to let you know my thoughts about this. If you have any suggestion to improve this, or come with a better solution please let me know.

The idea is good, however if you want this to work, you have to skip Tuesday, as it's a bad day to gather the *strong* composition:

- Madavaster 50% chance to make it (his projects etc)
- Holycola 50% (football games)
- Esk 50% (sometimes going to watch a movie with Rivers)
- Longsword 10% - he is usually sleeping or trying to get down prince in the 5th raid day
- Flamewings 50% ? - last Tuesday he was in Karazhan with his guild I think

We have Zurion and Surreality available (and perhaps Ttk), however a team with 2 rogues 1 dps-druid has proven not to be too good :)

Imo we should have Friday Saturday and Sunday as arena days.
We can go with the *weaker* composition on Friday, even Sat
And recover with the strong composition on Sunday (as a weekend day, everybody can make it)

Imo we should try to take one day to test lots of different compositions and see what works best. For example making me and Holy play at the same time wouldn't be such a good idea since we're both hybrid which results in the team's dps and healing being lower than it could be.

seriously now, i am looking for an arena group if you lack 1 man so i can get some arena items that are rly nice (rly want shoulders)

Only giving u a small sugestion, based on the experience my team (Prodigal Gladiators) had so far: Don't use anything but your best composition in weekend days. Every single good team playes on saturday and most do also on sundays, so all you're gonna do with a weak grp composition in those days is lose some rating. Also, we have done the exact thing that Tee said in the original post ourselves. After losing almost 100 rating due to poorer grp compositions and random disconnects in games played needlessly after first succesfull days this week, we decided to found a 3v3 arena team as well. Our 3v3 arena team hasnt got the same rating as the 5v5 yet, but we are hoping to getting it to 2100 next week as well, so as the people who cant make it in the set arena nights should still get the arena points needed to complete arena sets before the season ends.

On a sidenote, the 3v3 tier is WAY easier then the 5v5 one. Our team had a record of 35-1 win:loss in the 1st day, reacing 1900 pts.
