xanadu is one of the "gay anthems" in the UK. There's an exceptionally not-straight bloke at work who has seen the movie over 100 times...

who are the members of your arena team? ;o

Dunno exactly, but so far i want to have in my team:

- 1 arms warriors
- 1 combat rogue
- 1 frost mage
- 1 holy paladin
- 1 disc priest

Who will take this roles ? First i expect people to reach level 70, get proper pvp gear, etc.. Then we will see.

Must say those classes are indeed a very good start. Warlock+Shadowpriest might be nice if they can play together too ;o

Shadowpriests are way too easy to be killed in Arena, so for the time being i would drop them as a viable choice.

I would take a warlock in team, only if i can switch the disc priest with a 2nd holy paladin. Warlock are easy to be nuked down by focus fire, the two BoP available should give him an upper hand against focus melee attacks.

Neah, i have my own reasons (talents, weapons i have, etc) for trying a combat rogue once i will hit 70. Tho more testing will be require to confirm this theory.

Then is a matter of style, some people prefer burst damage, others much more controlish style of play.

warlock (a crapload of HP already class) with good gear (even more stamina) with demonology spec (+15 % stamina wtf ?) with Felguard and soullink (kinda like 30 % more HP) and being able to use 1 death coil + 1 health stone + HP pot might not really be so easy to be killed fast, and while most enemies focus on this poor guy who can survive VERY LONG on his own but wait up....he got a healer in his team.....and 3 other ppl who are practically free and can wtfpwn the enemies wasting time on the warlock...he might not really have to die.....but can play his role as a bait pretty good for sure


and that was all assuming that enemy is gonna go all out on warlock first. which is not such a bad strategy but against good warlocks imho it may not really pay off :D in most cases i dont think people will go like this, they will tend to attack enemies according to their own stupid criterias like :
- healers
- ppl with bad ass looking weapons who seem to be big threat
- closest targets
coz its not like you gonna meet that many ppl with professional approach to the matter as you think i suppose

Well, for beginning i will get 5 people.. the other 5 reserves will be recruited only when main guys cannot play or to test new classes, combinations.

Also i will use these 5 extra slots to quickly equip some players. As you know in order to get full team arena points / week you need to take part in 3 games. So basically i can a blue gear ed guy, he plays in 3 games.. the other 7 are make with the main team. He will get same points as the others, thus in couple of weeks nice gladiator weapons/gear almost for free.

Well, you assume you meet people at AB guild premade / marshal teams level. You need to understand that these arenas games are totally different game.
Yes prolly up to 1,800 - 2,000 rating team that will be the case. When 2,000 rating is pass you will be amazed what teams you will meet in the arena. After that point is where strong strategies and good skills will be the one who makes the difference.

Against people who use attack criterias like you, prolly with a healer behind and some other dps who can assist me i can solo these teams. Tho once 2,000 rating barrier will be pass, things will dramatically change.

Don't even want to imagine once these elite teams aka top dogs will gather full Gladiator sets/ weapons. Combine with proper strategies and class combos, medium teams will be smashed without any opposition.

Conclusion is that you will have much more challenges and competition then you think.

and are the arenas limited to the ppl on ur server but u can fight both factions or are they made for the whole battlegroup of servers for all factions of those servers together, like BGs?

They are limited only to your friend list who are between 51-70 level. So being level 70 is a plus, and having Tee on friend list is a minus.

My view on the best class combination for the arena:

2vs2: 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player.

3vs3: 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player

5vs5: 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player, 1 skilled player

Any teams with this compositions will pwn the arena.
